Sell through any outage. Keep data where it belongs.
Rakwa runs the same software three ways. You choose per company, and you can change your mind as you grow.
Cloud
Rakwa cloud only; the iPads talk to the cloud. Pick it for a small shop with reliable internet that wants nothing on site but iPads.
- Sell without internet
- No
- Where data lives
- Rakwa cloud
- Console
- Rakwa cloud
- Support
- Live, with your consent
Hybrid
A Branch Box in each branch is the authority for that branch and syncs with the cloud whenever it can. For most restaurants and cafés.
- Sell without internet
- Yes
- Where data lives
- On the box, mirrored to the cloud
- Console
- Cloud, "last synced" per branch
- Support
- Live when online, or a session you start
Sovereign
Branch Box only; no tenant data in the cloud. For when policy, contract or a regulator says the data stays in the building.
- Sell without internet
- Yes
- Where data lives
- Only on your premises
- Console
- On the box, on your network
- Support
- Only through a session you start
The branch never waits for the cloud.
Orders, kitchen tickets, shifts and stock movements are written in the branch first and flow up. Menus, prices, staff and settings flow down. If the line drops on a Friday night, nobody on the floor notices.
- The box is the source of truth for its branch's operations
- Configuration comes from the cloud console
- The console shows when each branch last synced, and alerts you if a box goes quiet
- Switching from cloud to hybrid is simple; data already in the cloud stays there
Unbox to selling in under twenty minutes.
A quiet mini-PC on the branch network. It runs the same Rakwa software as the cloud, with its own database and secure local HTTPS.
Three ways to install
A pre-imaged box shipped to you, a USB installer for any small PC, or a one-command install on Ubuntu or Debian.
Claim with a code
On first boot the box shows a QR code and a short code. We assign it to your branch and it pulls its licence, menu and certificate.
Modest hardware
Guidance: an Intel N100-class mini-PC, 16 GB RAM, NVMe SSD and a small UPS, wired to the POS network.
Looks after itself
Health checks, self-healing, backups and staged updates, with a branch health score in the console.
Sovereign console
In sovereign mode the box serves its own console at rakwa-box.local, on your network only.
iPads find it
Devices on the same network discover the box automatically and pair with a code.
Help that never needs an open door.
Consent first
Our team can view, and if you allow it control, a screen only after you approve. A banner shows while they are connected; you can end it at any time. Every session is audited.
Owner-started tunnel
For an offline or sovereign box, you tap "Allow Rakwa support". The box opens a time-limited, outbound-only tunnel; nothing inbound is ever opened on your network.
Store and forward
Health, tickets and crash reports queue on the box and upload when a window opens.

Each Branch Box holds a signed licence it checks offline. It renews on its own when online. If a licence lapses, the box warns for a grace period (30 days hybrid, 60 days sovereign) and then moves to read-only reporting. It never stops mid-service.
